My name is Lyon and I am a UX Designer based in Los Angeles.
Before I became a Designer, I was working in corporate Human Resources. Through my tenure in HR, I was able to hone my skills in communication, strategy, and empathy. HR was also what lead me to pursue a career in design.
As a part of their day-to-day, most HR professionals will learn how to use digital HR tools. When I used any of those tools, I always thought to myself “this could work so much better”.
One day, that same thought transformed into a question: “How would I have designed this tool?” It was from there on, I began to gain an interest in design. That interest grew enough that I decided to enroll in General Assembly and take their UX program.
During my time at Disney, I had the opportunity to work on both the Disney Parks apps and websites, with a mix of physical and digital experiences. Today, I am working at Pluto TV as a UX Designer to bring consumers the best that free television has to offer.
